I have talked to God a lot this year about pleasing Him. I have a people-pleasing bent and He has been revealing it to me in the gentle way that He does. I sense we will be unpacking how I can please Him with my faith and fill that desire so that I don't spend exhaustive amounts of energy trying to please people when that was never my job.

As I wrap up this year, I'm choosing to celebrate growth instead of focusing on what I didn't get done.

Which voice will you listen to this season, the one that shouts "You are not enough!" or the one that assures you that He is enough?

My emotions can be so overwhelming. Most of us get so tired of trying to tackle our emotions that we simply let them lead. In my life, this is a recipe for disaster.

Ever feel like your heart is being pulled in different directions. So many things tug at my heart and demand attention. I give pieces of my heart away to anxious thoughts and lesser things all the time. My heart becomes unintentionally divided. Pulled in different directions, I don't move forward.

What am I willing to die for? What can I daily die to?

We are to be a people of grace and truth as we wait for the coming of the Lord. We fight a spiritual battle with our unseen weapon: prayer.

God I believe You and because of that I can trust You so I am going to place all my hope in You.

When we plant God is able to make grace abound to us in all things at all times. He produces the fruit from the seeds we plant and He decides when and where it grows. What are you planting that maybe hasn't grown yet? Can you keep planting and believe God will make it from at the right time?

We can easily take our freedom for granted. Both our physical freedom in this country and our spiritual freedom cost a high price. Remember the opportunities both of these freedoms present. Don't let apathy keep you in the dark.

We devalue prayer a bit like we devalue motherhood. We don’t see prayer as an accomplishment in itself. In the same way that being a Mom isn’t often viewed as a “real job”, prayer isn’t a “real solution”.

Trust isn't the absence of anxiety; anxiety is the opportunity to build trust muscles.

I used to think that prayer was for really important things, and then I realized that to God, I am really important things.

Trust is proving to be a hard word for me.

When we shift our dependence from God’s shoulders to our own. It always leaves us feeling the weight of trying to define ourselves.

We tend to look at prayer just like we look at exercise to prepare us for swimsuit season. We pray as a reaction more than a mindset.

God is working in places you can't see yet. He is right there beside you. Look up and tell Him you trust Him.
