We devalue prayer a bit like we devalue motherhood. We don’t see prayer as an accomplishment in itself. In the same way that being a Mom isn’t often viewed as a “real job”, prayer isn’t a “real solution”.

I like to fix. I usually believe that I know the answers. I need to trust God more than I trust myself.
