As I wrap up this year, I'm choosing to celebrate growth instead of focusing on what I didn't get done.

We devalue prayer a bit like we devalue motherhood. We don’t see prayer as an accomplishment in itself. In the same way that being a Mom isn’t often viewed as a “real job”, prayer isn’t a “real solution”.

Pouring our actually makes space for God to fill me with something better... Him.

Trust isn't the absence of anxiety; anxiety is the opportunity to build trust muscles.

I am not paying attention to what I am actively believing. I try to see myself through other people's eyes and it starts to make me dizzy.

I used to think that prayer was for really important things, and then I realized that to God, I am really important things.

Trust is proving to be a hard word for me.

We tend to look at prayer just like we look at exercise to prepare us for swimsuit season. We pray as a reaction more than a mindset.

God is working in places you can't see yet. He is right there beside you. Look up and tell Him you trust Him.

Obedience requires that we release what we currently have before God fills our hands, and for a minute they look empty.

God wants to do a new thing, I have to let go of my expectations to receive His plans.

My word for the year is words. It's a blend of believe, trust, and hope. They all depend on each other.

The next couple days when the list of undone, or unfinished things pop in my head, I'm letting them go. I don't want to carry them into 2025

I am so terrible at moving into a new season that even my flowers are having trouble. I’ve got hydrangeas blooming in fall.

Are you confident in God’s ability to work things out? It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going on the foggy days.
