Out of Season

Even my flowers aren’t good at seasons!

If this isn’t a testament to my life, I don’t know what is! I don’t want to let go, I struggle to move forward into new things.

I always hate the winter season coming.

I love sunshine!

I have a dislike being cold.

Hydrangeas blooming in the fall seems like God speaking to my heart: “There will be spring again!”

It isn’t really just the weather seasons I have trouble with. I always struggle and tend to dig my heels in when I feel things change. I don’t like moving forward when I’m not sure what’s coming.

If you have children, the season drama intensifies. All my seasons are also marked by theirs. I feel with them, my heart tethered to theirs. I don’t think that ever stops.

I’m hanging onto these words today:

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all sufficiency

in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

2 Corinthians 9:8

“He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.

You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.

For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭8 & 10‬-‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

God is a sufficient grace giver in all things at all times.

He will supply and multiply everything I need in every season and He produces the harvest in His time so I can rest.

If you have trouble with change like me steal this prayer:

Father, thank you for seasons. They can help us value our days. Help me step forward without fear because I know you are with me, not because I know what’s coming. You can make me abound (overflow) in all things at all times. You are enough. It’s your harvest. You will supply abundance.
