I burnt the bacon. It wasn’t because I didn’t set a timer, it’s because I didn’t stay where I could hear the timer. All the things need done, yes they do. But I am old enough to realize that there isn’t an end to the list. I will never get done all the things that need done.

I have talked to God a lot this year about pleasing Him. I have a people-pleasing bent and He has been revealing it to me in the gentle way that He does. I sense we will be unpacking how I can please Him with my faith and fill that desire so that I don't spend exhaustive amounts of energy trying to please people when that was never my job.

We are to be a people of grace and truth as we wait for the coming of the Lord. We fight a spiritual battle with our unseen weapon: prayer.

God measures differently than we do. He isn't limited by time and sees the product while I'm still looking at the tiny seed.
