Remember Sarah. I think I was judging her too harshly for her laughter. I've been reading and rereading Hebrews 11 this week and the second time through this verse jumped out at me. By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised. Hebrews 11:11 Are you past the age? Or do you maybe just feel passed over? It takes practice to believe the promise before the proof.

Week 2 of Lent Prayers for refreshing our hearts

Do you have plans for Lent? I've been working on something. Traditionally people give something up for Lent like social media, sugar, carbs, etc. I am all for fasting, in fact, I am trying to learn more about biblical fasting to incorporate more of it into my life. It's attached to prayer in scripture, and prayer is a passion of mine. I want to caution us though, including me, to be careful in our giving something up for Lent. I don't want us to miss what God really wants

Prayer lets us out of the prison of our own limitations.

Which voice will you listen to this season, the one that shouts "You are not enough!" or the one that assures you that He is enough?

We are to be a people of grace and truth as we wait for the coming of the Lord. We fight a spiritual battle with our unseen weapon: prayer.

Lately my thoughts have been "in the weeds". There is too much going on in there, and it isn't just anxiety or agendas.
